Argyle UMC is setting out to make a difference. We are taking the call to serve seriously, so seriously that they will not be holding Sunday morning worship services or Sunday School on Sunday, May 15, and instead they will host an annual tradition called Worship Without Walls (WOW). This is a day each Spring where we organize service projects to do in the community as an alternative form of worship.
Worship can take place in many forms, and serving others is one of the main examples of worship that Jesus taught us. Through WOW, our community is reminded that worship isn’t just attending church one day a week—it’s the act of serving others on a day-to-day basis; it’s the little things that accumulate into a lifestyle of worship.
On Sunday, May 15, be on the lookout for a mass of service workers in red t-shirts transforming our community by serving organizations like UMCOR, Ranch Hand Rescue, Stop Hunger Now, and more! There is a service project for everyone, even projects for the whole family, and there is a place for you. Make sure to join us that Sunday night at 6 pm for a community dinner where we will share the stories of how God moved throughout the day.
