There is a place for everyone at Argyle UMC. Our mission is to grow together as disciples, working with God, to transform the world one life at a time. Volunteering is not just about helping others; it’s one of the best ways to grow as disciples in your relationship with God. Listed below are some of the opportunities that you may find personally and spiritually rewarding:

Office Volunteers

Our office volunteers help us manage incoming calls to the church by answering phones and transferring calls to our staff. They also often help us assemble letters, bulletins, etc. If you are someone who enjoys talking to people and serving others by directing them to the right place, this may be the place for you!

Offering Counter

The Counting Team is a vital part of AUMC’s operation. Without the weekly offerings, there would be no Church. We meet in the office at 9:30 on Monday mornings or after the last service for Sunday counts. The count usually only takes 30-45 minutes.

Sanctuary Helpers

The church has a need for volunteers to refill the chair backs with Offering envelopes and Prayer Request cards and make sure there are working pens in place. This works best if two people work together. It only requires one Thursday morning or afternoon a week. This is a great way to be involved in the church and only takes a small commitment of your time. If you have any questions, please send an email to:

If you can play guitar, drums, bass, piano, sing, or play an instrument that we don’t have listed here but could add to worship, this may be the place for you! We practice the Wednesday before your scheduled Sunday service at 8 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Jaime Sipes at

AUMC Sound Booth

Our audio team is an important part of Sunday morning worship. They make sure everything sounds great, looks great, and runs smoothly–we couldn’t do it without them! If you are interested in the details of music and how to run and mix music to create a relational experience in worship, volunteering in the Sound Booth may be for you! No prior knowledge is necessary.
