Back to School Prayer Walk

Grab your kids, family and neighbors for a back to school prayer walk. Walk around and within the school as you hold the names and faces of teachers, students and parents who are part of this community. 

When: 6:30 PM on August 12, 2018

Where: Meet at the Flagpole! We will be at local Argyle, Lantana and Denton Schools.  Sign up here to join us. or gather at your local school or the school where your family attends.  

Wear your Red "WOW" Worship withOut Walls TShirt.  Contact Mary Ellen at maryellen@argyleumc.org if you need to purchase one for $15.

Middle School Mission Trip

This summer we are heading to Perryville, Arkansas to spend a week at the Heifer Ranch. The Heifer Project's mission to help fight world poverty. On the ranch, our students will learn about world poverty and how they can make a difference. It's going to be an interactive experience that they will never forget!

Wednesday Night Family Dinner

Wednesdays are a big night for us here at Argyle UMC, and we want to invite you to connect with this community in one of our favorite ways—through a shared meal! All are invited to dinner on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30 pm. Each week, the menu will be sent out on the Sunday prior to each Wednesday and you can register online for meals individually or through a semester pass. Confirmation Parent Meeting

Confirmation is a class for 7th grade students

which helps them explore what it means to have a faith of their own. During the confirmation journey, student will learn the history of the christian faith, the early church and the methodist church. Students will also learn what it means to be part of AUMC church family, as young members, and discover their place in our ministry. They will seek to understand God's purpose and call for their lives and explore what it means to live into that calling now, as 7th grade students. Over the course of our time together, students will take the foundation that has been laid for them by their parents, church family, and other loved ones, and begin to build a faith of their own.

7th grade parents are invited to attend this Parent Meeting on Thursday, September 7 at 7:30 pm.

We are excited to offer Created By God for our 6th & 7th grade students.
Created by God is a program designed to communicate to 6th & 7th grade students that we are a fantastic creation made by God. The topics of human sexuality, values, and relationships are approached in a frank, honest, and Bible-based manner. There will be a parent meeting on September 7 in the SMAC so that you can preview material before your child takes the course. This event is open to all 6th & 7th graders, so feel free to invite friends. Sign up here.

AY Six Flags Summer Outing (All Youth)

This might just be our most requested event of the year! All youth (6th-12th grade in the 2016-17 school year) are invited to join us for a day of ups, downs, and all arounds at Six Flags in Arlington. We will leave the church after 11:00 Sunday School and return by 7pm. Cost is $40.

Three Chaperones Needed! Parents, if you would like to chaperone, we will buy your ticket!

High School Top Golf

All high school students are invited to join us for some good 'ole fashioned fun at Top Golf. Cost is $25. We will meet at the church at 10 a.m. and take the church bus over to the Colony. After golfing, we will eat lunch at In and Out. We will be back at the church by 1:00 p.m. 

Students will need money for lunch.

AY Summer Sunday School

In Argyle Youth's Summer Sunday School, our students grades 6-12 (of the 2016-17 school year) will have the opportunity to deepen their faith in a student community that seeks God together on Sunday mornings after the 9:30 service. Summer study will be a short, video-guided lesson by the Bible teacher Francis Chan, followed by student-led discussion. This Summer, we will be exploring the book of James together verse by verse, seeking the truth about faith, commitment, good works, suffering, and spiritual growth. All students are welcome!

We will be recognizing our high school graduates this year in both the 9:30 am and 11:00 am Worship Services. If you have a graduating senior, please send their information to our Associate Youth Director, Carla Hilburn.
